My lived experience shapes how I show up. I’m a Black, queer, nonbinary person who has experienced housing insecurity, relied on public transportation, and been low-income. I am committed to the work I do because I understand the stakes. Inequity and oppression show up in our organizations and in our own leadership.

I coach and consult leaders and organizations committed to justice who are navigating the complexities of values-aligned leadership, sustaining their work over time, and addressing the systems that create burnout and inequity. Being a facilitator and an eldest sister has shaped my approach to this work. I’ve learned the power of listening deeply, mirroring back, and offering nurturing guidance. I offer both realness and care.

I prioritize working with Black women and nonbinary folks alongside queer and trans people of the global majority.

My Approach

Three lenses run through everything I do:

Values in Practice

We work together to get to a place where your values are what tell you what to do on a Tuesday afternoon when things are hard. I help you identify where your stated values and your actual practices align – and where they don’t, and we work together to close that distance.

Conditions Clarity

The organizational environment you operate in has its own power dynamics, culture, and history. We’ll strengthen your understanding of the conditions you’re in, what’s yours to address within that and what’s not, and how you want to relate to it all, including whether you want to stay.

Sustainable Path Forward

Navigating alone is rough. We build a path that includes practices and tools grounded in your values, clarity on your support system inside and outside of your workplace, and the capacity to know what you can and cannot show up for.

The Process

We’ll begin with a vibe check, a no-cost 30-minute remote conversation. You can share what has you exploring this work, and I’ll share more about my approach and how I might support you in what you’re navigating.

I’ll reach out to confirm whether or not the vibe checked out. You can do the same.

If it does, we’ll discuss your preferred pacing and schedule, you’ll get a contract, and pre-pay for your first session(s). Then we’ll dive in!

Offerings

INDIVIDUAL COACHING

One-on-one coaching for leaders, organizers, and change-makers who want to lead in ways that align with their values while protecting their well-being. We’ll work together to navigate leadership challenges while staying grounded in your values, build sustainable work practices, address internalized bias and develop strategies for interruption, create boundaries to honor your capacity and commitments, and develop your authentic leadership values and approach.

    Who this is for: Black leaders and organizers, particularly those who are queer and/or working at multiple intersections of marginalization. Also, for anyone doing justice work who is committed to examining bias and building more liberatory practices.

    TEAM & ORGANIZATIONAL COACHING

    Support for leadership, management, operations, and programmatic teams that want to work more cohesively, show up in ways that reflect their values, and build the relational and structural conditions that make collective work possible. I offer:

    Team Coaching for existing teams focuses on how to work together in ways that align with your values, including how organizational values are operationalized and lived out, how you understand and navigate each other’s communication and feedback needs, and how you approach values-aligned planning and decision-making.

    Conflict Transformation through coaching, workshops, and mediation grounded in power analysis. Conflict in organizations carries the weight of the systems we’re all embedded in. My approach helps teams navigate those dynamics by helping them name what they need to be present while moving through the conflict, how the weight of the conflict is being carried differently by different folks involved, and where there are structural and cultural conditions that need to be addressed to better support the individuals moving through the challenge.

    Coaching on Retainer for organizations that want consistent, reliable access to coaching support for individual staff members as the need arises, including folks navigating leadership trajectory questions or transitions. This is a good fit for organizations with multiple navigating challenges simultaneously or who want to build coaching into how they develop and support their people over time.

    VALUES ALIGNED 360° LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENTS

    I lead our 360° assessments, a structured feedback process grounded in what your organization actually values. We design the process around your organization’s values, manage confidential data collection, deliver individual reports, including development recommendations for each leader, and conduct individual and team reflection sessions to process the feedback and develop growth plans.

    This process is helpful when an organization is clarifying or operationalizing values and wants to understand how leadership is actually implementing them, power dynamics or dominant culture norms are showing up in how the leadership team operates, leaders are ready for structured, comprehensive feedback grounded in what the organization says it cares about, an organization has been through a transition or significant conflict and wants a shared path forward.

    INTERACTIVE SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

    I facilitate interactive conversations and workshops for organizations or convenings on topics such as sustainable work practices and navigating burnout, values development and operationalization, feedback culture and mutual accountability, navigating conflict and power dynamics, and disrupting anti-Blackness and interrupting bias in organizational practice. Engagements are generally 90-minute to full-day workshops, customized to your group’s needs.

    Pricing is another way values are enacted. Every type of engagement uses a slide scale based on your organization’s annual budget so folks can be supported across organizations of different sizes with access to different levels of resources.     INDIVIDUAL COACHING

    I offer 3 to 12 months of coaching sessions at monthly, twice-per-month, or weekly rhythms. Rates vary based on the length of commitment and the number of sessions per month. The tiers below reflect project rates based on an organization’s annual budget.

    Individual self-pay rates are available for folks whose organizations won’t or can’t support this work. Reach out for the self-pay rate structure.

    TEAM AND ORGANIZATIONAL COACHING

    Team coaching includes group coaching sessions with the full team we’re supporting, two individual coaching sessions per month for any team members who want to deepen or work through what comes up for them in the group work, framework tools and resources customized to your team’s needs and distributed across our time together, and email support between sessions.

    Additional individual coaching sessions beyond the two included per month are available as add-ons that will be billed in alignment with your organization’s budget tier rate.

    Larger teams may require engaging another Freedom Verses team member, and rates would be adjusted accordingly.

    Coaching on Retainer includes coaching for 3 or more staff members at a cadence that works for each person (monthly minimum, weekly maximum), themes and trends reporting to People and Culture and/or Leadership to elevate patterns emerging across coaching relationships that point to structural or cultural strengths or challenges, monthly internal documentation, and coaching follow-up and prep allowance built into the rates package. For organizations with more than 5 team members in need of coaching, additional members of the Freedom Verses team would support. Rates are based on the number of team members engaged.     360° LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENT

    A customized survey aligned with your organizational values, confidential data collection, individual reports for each leader, individual reflection sessions with support on growth plans, a team strengths and growth opportunities portrait, and a 90-minute team session to explore the portrait together and identify how to utilize team strengths and build with growth opportunities in mind. Investment is determined based on the number of leaders receiving feedback and the organizational budget. The range runs from $3,750 for a single leader at our most accessible budget tier to $25,000 for a five-person leadership team at our upper budget tier. Larger teams will receive a customized quote.
